Privacy Notice

Luxembourg B302770 — the "controller") handles personal data collected through this website, in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
What we collect
The only personal data this site actively collects is what you submit through the contact form: your name, email address, organization (optional) and message. If you contact us directly by email, we also process the personal data contained in your message (your address, name and anything you include) — this notice applies to that data in the same way.
Like any website, our hosting infrastructure (Microsoft Azure) briefly processes technical data such as your IP address in server logs in order to deliver the pages and keep the service secure. All resources on this site, including fonts, are served from our own domain — visiting it does not send your data to any third party.
No advertising trackers. This site does not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking. If analytics are enabled, we use a cookieless configuration that does not identify you and masks all form content.
Why we collect it
To respond to your request and follow up on a possible collaboration or proof of concept. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract) and, where applicable, our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f)).
Where it goes and who sees it
- Your submission is delivered by email to the GoScience.Bio team (Sofia Santos and André Santos) inside our Microsoft 365 tenant.
- It is not shared with third parties, not sold, and not used for marketing lists.
- Processing happens on Microsoft Azure / Microsoft 365 infrastructure under Microsoft's GDPR commitments, in Microsoft data centres in the European Union. Where any residual transfer outside the EU/EEA occurs within Microsoft's services, it is safeguarded by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep it
Contact submissions and email enquiries are kept for up to 12 months after our last interaction, unless a business relationship follows (in which case data is kept as needed for that relationship) or you ask us to delete it sooner.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask us for access, rectification, erasure, restriction or portability of your data. Just email us — we will respond within one month.
Right to object: where we process your data based on legitimate interest, you can object to that processing at any time, and we will stop unless we have compelling legitimate grounds to continue.
Providing your data is voluntary — without it we simply cannot reply to you. We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority: our lead authority is the Luxembourg CNPD, and you may also contact the authority of your country of residence — for Portugal, the CNPD.
